Moisture Barrier Guide

Inspect & Prepare Concrete Subfloor
- Concrete must be fully cured (minimum 28 days).
- Surface must be clean, dry, solid, and level (max 3mm variation over 2m).
- Remove dust, debris, paint, oil, or loose particles.
- Repair cracks and level low spots if necessary. (Self leveling materials is a +)
Moisture Protection (Very Important on Concrete)
- Even with attached foam, install a 200-micron polyethylene vapour barrier.
- Overlap seams by 200mm and tape securely.
- Run barrier slightly up the wall (trim after skirting installation).
Allow Expansion Gaps
- Leave 8–10mm expansion gap around all walls, columns, pipes, and fixed objects.
- Use spacers to maintain consistency.
